Ardenforest wood pellets are DIN Plus certified, manufactured in Champagne Ardenne using a blend of softwood and hardwood with a high calorific value. These pellets are high quality and ideal for all pellet heating systems such as stoves, inserts and boilers.100% softwood is not a requirement, so don’t hesitate to try the wood blend. It won’t clog up your heating system and will provide constant heat and a rapid rise in temperature.Yes, it is possible to heat your home with pellets that are not 100% softwood!A mixture of hardwood and softwood creates a natural glue on the pellets, preventing them from breaking during compression and transport to the screw conveyor. The origin of the wood is very important for the environment: the closer you choose pellets to your home, the less CO2 will be produced. To have good pellets, you need a moisture content of < 10%, an ash content of < 0.7%, a dust content of < 0.5% and a calorific value of > 4.6 kWh/kg.
